Les spectacles d’Arkestra ont lieu dans des villages en Inde. Beaucoup d’hommes viennent le soir pour regarder les femmes danser. L’ambiance est bruyante et animée. Mais c’est un travail dur pour les danseuses.

Beaucoup de femmes dansent parce qu’elles ont besoin d’argent. Certaines filles commencent très jeunes. Les hommes crient ou se comportent mal. Les femmes ont peur. Les familles et les villages jugent mal ces filles. Mais pour beaucoup de gens, ces spectacles n’ont rien de mal.

La police interrompt certains spectacles et aide les jeunes filles à partir. Mais beaucoup de femmes y retournent. Leurs familles ont besoin d’argent. Les spectacles continuent parce que les gens paient pour les voir.
