Le prochain film « Spider-Man : Brand New Day », qui sortira le 31 juillet, se déroule plusieurs années après que le Docteur Strange ait effacé les souvenirs de tout le monde concernant Peter Parker.
Tom Holland, l’acteur principal, a décrit l’histoire comme plus crue, plus émouvante, axée sur la vulnérabilité, et mettant en garde contre les dangers de l’isolement. Même si Peter perd le contact avec ses proches comme MJ et Ned, il noue une alliance inattendue avec le justicier The Punisher, joué par Jon Bernthal. Le film met aussi en scène d’autres personnages marquants de Marvel, notamment Yelena Belova et Bruce Banner.
Alors que les spéculations vont bon train sur le rôle secret de l’actrice Sadie Sink, le réalisateur Destin Daniel Cretton a invité les fans à ne pas trop s’attarder sur les rumeurs pour pouvoir profiter pleinement des surprises en salle. Dans l’ensemble, le film trouve un bon équilibre entre humour et action, et explore le courage qu’il faut pour demander de l’aide quand on traverse des moments difficiles.
